Charles R. Figer, Jr. is an Associate with Wood, Herron & Evans and is involved in all phases of the firm's IP practice, with a concentration in electrical technologies. Chuck joined Wood, Herron & Evans in 2005 after twenty-one years of engineering experience with an engineering software company. He performed numerical simulations in the fields of electromagnetics, structural vibrations, and numerical optimization, among others. Chuck worked closely with engineers in the aerospace, automotive and consumer products industries.
Chuck was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2006 and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1994 and his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2006. During Law School, Chuck served as the Managing Editor of the Law Review.
Chuck is a member of the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Ohio Bar Associations. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati Inventors Council. He resides in Beavercreek, Ohio with his wife Wendy and daughter Emily.
