James P. Carey is an Associate in the firm's Chemical/Materials Sciences and Biotech Practice Groups. Jim works primarily in the legal areas of patent application preparation and prosecution. His technical focus is primarily in the chemical and biotechnology areas with representative technical areas including: pharmaceuticals, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, inorganic chemistry, medical devices, optical fibers, semi-conductor chemical processing, and rubber chemistry. Prior to receiving his law degree, Jim worked for 7 years as a synthetic organic chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. He resides in Dayton, Ohio with his wife Nancy.
