2007/2008 Patent Law Minority Student Scholarship is awarded - 05/22/2008

Wood, Herron, & Evans (WH&E) has announced Eric Foster of Northern Kentucky University's Salmon P. Chase College of Law as the recipient of its 2007/2008 Patent Law Minority Student Scholarship. Mr. Foster has been working at GE Aviation as an engineer while attending evening law classes at NKU. He holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (UC). During his time at UC, Eric also served a co-op at NASA and P&G. Additionally, he is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Engineering Honor Society.

The WH&E Patent Law Minority Student Scholarship awards $4,000 to a patent bar-eligible minority student who is planning to practice Intellectual Property Law. Eligible students for the 2007/2008 scholarship must have matriculated or been accepted at one of the following three law schools: Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, the University of Cincinnati College of Law, or the University of Dayton College of Law. They must also have the requisite scientific background needed to apply for the Patent Bar Examination for admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
