Dave Dorton is a registered patent attorney involved in all phases of the firms practice, with concentration in mechanical technologies. Dave was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 2001 and is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Brett Schatz, Partner, and graduate of the Class of 2000 from NKU's Chase College of Law, has received Chase's 2009 Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award. Mr. Schatz will be presented with The 2009 Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award at the annual Chase Law School Alumni Luncheon to be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 11:30a to 1:00p at NKU's Bank of Kentucky Center.

Partners, Drew Blatt and Sarah Graber, participated in the InOneWeekend program held August 28-30, 2009, on the Campus of the University of Cincinnati. InOneWeekend is an annual weekend event that brings one hundred marketing, design, technology, legal, and business minds together for three days, from Friday night to Sunday night to create a start-up venture from scratch. Blatt and Graber provided legal guidance to the design, technical, and risk assessment teams regarding the ideas and creative works that could potentially be protected, and issues to be aware of to avoid conflicting with others intellectual property rights.
