Dave Dorton is a registered patent attorney involved in all phases of the firms practice, with concentration in mechanical technologies. Dave was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 2001 and is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Dave received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2001. Dave has 7 years experience as a product engineer in the field of noise and vibration control, particularly in the design of elastomeric vibration isolators. He is an active member of the American and Ohio Bar Associations and resides in Mason, Ohio with his wife Kim and their three children.
Randy Jackson is a registered patent attorney practicing in the firms Chemical/Materials Sciences and Biotech Practice Groups. While involved in all phases of intellectual property representation, Randys emphasis is in patent application preparation and prosecution. His technical focus is in the chemical and biotechnology areas, with representative technologies including polymer chemistry, textiles, organic and inorganic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, dental and medical devices, and semi-conductor chemical processing. Previously, Randy worked as an analytical chemist at a pharmaceutical testing company in St. Louis, Missouri. Randy was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 1998 and Kentucky in 1999, and is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of law (1998); a Masters with honors in Chemistry, with an emphasis in Biochemistry from the University of Cincinnati (2003); and a Bachelors with honors in Chemistry from St. Louis University (1994). He is a Cincinnati native and a proud alumnus of St. Xavier High School. Randy resides in Cleves with his Wife, Gina, and their two children.
