WH&E re-signs lease for 6 floors of Carew Tower - 09/15/2006
WH&E re-signed its lease for 6 floors of Carew Tower with the Belvedere Corp., owner of Carew Tower. WH&E is the second- largest tenant of the Carew Tower and re-signed a long-term lease for six floors of downtown's tallest building.
WH&E is the 49-story building's last remaining original tenant dating back to 1930. Belvedere's VP, Steve Fahrnbach, worked hard to accommodate the needs of WH&E. WH&E has experienced good growth in recent years and is expanding to another floor of the Carew Tower under this lease. "We find ourselves in probably one of the hottest fields of law and it just keeps getting hotter", said Greg Ahrens, partner and member of the Executive Committee.
Bill Poffenberger of Cincinnati Capital Properties negotiated the lease renewal on behalf of WH&E. In addition to the added space, WH&E gets a private dedicated elevator. "You look out the window and see what is happening on Fountain Square and you know you are in the very heart of it all" Ahrens said. "It is just a great place to be".
